The Non-Profit Difference.

Yes, we’re a nonprofit. But around here, we like to think of ourselves as a community benefit organization, which is a place where people show up for each other in very meaningful ways.

That might look like providing affordable housing for Marquette students right here on campus in exchange for volunteer time. Or residents sewing and donating clothing for people who need it most. Or neighbors stepping in to support one another when life takes an unexpected turn. It’s just our mindset and comes naturally.

But what makes this place different is how naturally people lean in. They give their time. Their talent. Their energy. Doing good for others is just a part of our culture.

What They Say

For four years now, I’ve had a high appreciation for staff and facilities. My parents moved to independent living in the summer of 2018. Then my mother, with Alzheimer’s, needed to move to memory care in the summer of 2019. After unavoidable and sad isolation due to COVID and time in skilled nursing, she died in late 2020. My dad continues to live independently and greatly appreciates friendly staff, excellent food, exercise and PT options, and so much more.

Since the day I moved into St. Camillus I have felt safe and secure. The staff go out of their way to help us, and they include us in many of the decisions that pertain to the well-being of all the Residents. Our new Memory Care unit is beautiful, eye-appealing, and provides a safe and healthy atmosphere for the residents. I have found many opportunities to volunteer in different areas of the campus, both in the St. Camillus apartments and in other areas on campus. On one occasion, I commented to Dean, one of the employees, that everyone was so nice to us, and he commented, “I think of each resident as my grandparent”. That says it all!!
-Lorraine
My mom has been at St. Camillus for over 2 years. She has been treated with the utmost care and respect. I would not think of having her anywhere else. Thank you to all who work so hard at providing such excellent care. We see you!
-Don
St. Camillus is a great place to live! I am grateful every day that I am here in a community with many wonderful people. We keep finding connections with each other and enjoying all the opportunities we have to socialize and exercise. We are able to get a lot of steps each day without going outside in bad weather. And getting to Mass often is so convenient. First, we say we’re not quite ready to move, and then when here, say… we should have come sooner.
-Connie S., Independent Living resident
My grandmother was in the rehab facility and eventually was moved to hospice. The nurses were exceptionally kind and treated her with so much respect. They brought so much joy to my day every time I saw them in passing. The staff was attentive and catered to her needs- even getting her chocolate ice cream every night!
-Audrey
St. Camillus is a beautiful campus with great amenities, as well as warm and welcoming residents and staff!
-Michael
St. Camillus is a wonderful life plan community offering retirement living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, home health services, and hospice. It is able to offer my family everything that my loved one needs in these final golden years! The staff is extremely helpful, responsive, and willing to go above and beyond to accommodate. I love St. Camillus!
